Hope you all are having a lovely extended weekend break.
I’ve started the week of well with two training sessions and a quick cardio session in the gym and even a few body weight squats in the living room.
Towards the end of the week a certain monthly event in my lady calendar convinced me that I needed to eat my body weight in tray bakes, made by my lovely cousin Bethany.
The next day, I was feeling miserable. I left my cinch corset at home and I had terrible back pain. So… I found comfort in food. We went to Babushka, where my usual breakfast is poached eggs on toast, this weekend however I ordered, two pancakes with maple syrup, bacon and poached eggs. I have no idea what I was thinking but my brain was telling me, just eat it!
The rest of the day, I was reasonably good but I did have two scoops of Mullin’s ice-cream after the kids went to bed. It was a bad decision and I was just being greedy, the sugar stopped me from sleeping that night and I really did regret it. But I hopefully have it out of my system and I have been good today and will have to work hard in the gym this week to get my self back to where I was towards the end of last week.
I did get a surprise this evening, as you know I am taking photo’s and logging my measurements each Sunday. Having let myself down with my diet this weekend I was expecting to have put on some weight and I have, but a couple of lbs is normal for me at this time. My waist measurements have come down, which I am really happy about;
Waist – 25 inches
Hips – 35.5 inches
Weight – 9st 8.2lbs
I am going to take the positives into next week and make sure that i make up for another “Cheat Weekend” on the North Coast. My list of Must Dos is getting longer but I this week I’m hitting the gym, without my personal trainer, fitting in extra cardio and preparing good healthy food for our trip to Portballintrae this weekend. I bought a new cookbook, Deliciously Ella. I’m looking forward to cooking healthy recipes this week. I will share a few of my favourite dishes at the end of the week.
